FACNAV ISR

FACNAV ISR (known as MANTIS ISR in the UK) is an advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system that transforms how military forces collect, process and share battlefield intelligence.

Turn sensor data into actionable intelligence

In modern warfare, sensors are everywhere: on the ground, in the air, at sea and in space. The challenge isn't access to information anymore – it's making sense of it all fast enough to matter. Traditional ISR systems simply display sensor feeds, leaving operators drowning in data while critical intelligence goes unnoticed.

FACNAV ISR changes this fundamentally. The system enables operators to process video and imagery from multiple sources simultaneously, detect threats, georeference them precisely on the map and instantly share findings across the network. This seamless workflow – from detection to precision strike – gives forces the speed and accuracy needed in modern combat.

Complete sensor-to-shooter workflow

A single operator using traditional systems might spend hours manually reviewing footage, tagging objects and relaying findings through voice communications. By the time intelligence reaches decision-makers, the battlefield has already changed.

FACNAV ISR eliminates these dangerous delays. Operators can process imagery from any sensor, make detections and instantly create precision target coordinates. These targets flow directly to effectors across the network, including indirect fires, aircraft, combat vehicles or unmanned systems on land, in the air or at sea.

Key features

1 of 6

Embedded media server

The embedded media server is the backbone of FACNAV ISR, providing instant access to sensor data anywhere in the world. Handles both live streams and stored footage, connects to other media servers in the network and enables real-time distributed ISR processes across multiple locations.

Video and image processing

Enable operators to manage, process and analyse large amounts of sensor data. AI-assisted detection automatically identifies and tags objects within video streams, enhancing the operator's ability to make detections while reducing time and cognitive load. Operators can annotate both video and still images, with all detections georeferenced on the map. This includes the ability to associate videos and images with entities within the situational picture.

Flexible video display options

Adapt video monitoring to your operational needs. Work with feeds in dedicated ISR panels, detach secondary views to place them alongside your map or other tools, or use video wall functionality to monitor multiple streams simultaneously. All views display georeferenced sensor positions and fields of view on the map, ensuring you always know exactly where each camera is looking.

Real-time detection sharing

Every detection appears instantly on the shared map, showing both the finding and the sensor that made it. Based on the network configuration, these detections can be automatically shared with, for example, adjacent ISR operators, frontline combat units in the area, fire support teams ready to engage or command posts coordinating the operation.

Comprehensive sensor integration

Works with a continuously expanding array of sensors – from traditional cameras and radars to audio sensors, drones and manned combat platforms. New sensor types integrate seamlessly into the existing workflow.

Distributed sensor network management

Control networks of sensors spread across vast geographical areas from a single workstation. This bleeding-edge capability eliminates the need to position operators in dangerous forward areas, allowing one operator to effectively cover an area that would have required an entire intelligence unit in the past.

Integration with Teleplan's defence suite

FACNAV ISR is designed as an integral part of the FACNAV ecosystem. This integration means intelligence doesn't stay trapped in specialist systems – it reaches every soldier who needs it, when they need it. Intelligence gathered through ISR flows seamlessly to
