Teleplan Globe and Teleplan Forsberg were proud to participate in Exercise HEDGEHOG in Estonia, joining forces with key partners, NATO forces, and the UK Joint Aviation Command to showcase advanced capabilities in integrated, multi-domain operations. The event underlined the strength of UK–Norwegian defence cooperation and our commitment to delivering innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.

At the centre of our participation was the FACNAV Battlespace Management System (known as MANTIS in the UK), designed to integrate multiple platforms and communication bearers for joint effects in demanding environments. The exercise demonstrated how FACNAV seamlessly connects with state-of-the-art UAVs — including Shield AI’s V-BAT and Griff Aviation’s Griff 60 — enhancing situational awareness and mission effectiveness across domains.

Within just 48 hours, our team successfully integrated these UAV platforms and also trialled UAV Aerosystems’ PROVIDENCE UAV, proving the system’s agility and interoperability. Using NATO standards, we executed rapid FIND, FIX, and STRIKE functions, including Crewed/Un-Crewed Teaming (CUCT) between Army Air Corps helicopters and UAV platforms.

This demonstration reinforced how FACNAV can act as a powerful enabler for joint operations, bridging the gap between different dom ains and operational environments.

Brigadier Nick English MBE, Commander 1st Aviation Brigade, praised the project:

“The work being conducted here is cutting edge, not just in the context of the UK Military but across any fighting force.”

Our success at Exercise HEDGEHOG reflects Teleplan Globe’s and Teleplan Forsberg’s shared focus on delivering practical, deployable solutions that support our partners and enhance operational capabilities where they are needed most.
